Blind cord safety is a huge concern in the custom window covering industry right now. It is also a huge concern for us at BestPriceBlinds.com. We absolutely love selling quality blinds and shades to you, but there is no window covering anywhere worth the safety of your children or pets.
What can I do to increase blind cord safety?
If you have small children or pets in your home, you can always choose a cordless version of that blind or shade. The danger is in the operating cords than can be a strangulation hazard to little people and animals.
Because of this, we only offer products that meet the stringent standards of the Window Covering Manufacturer’s Association (WCMA) and encourage our customers to select the cordless version of the blind or shade they are interested in. In an effort to make cordless shades more affordable, the cordless option now comes standard on our roller, honeycomb and faux wood products.
Are all cords bad?
No, of course not… While there will always be applications for corded products, we encourage all of our customers to consider the cordless option anytime a window will be within the reach of a child or pet. Look for the Certified Best for Kids logo to give you peace of mind when shopping for cordless blinds and shades for your home.
